Design
Cycle
This page is where you will see my design process. From the sketch to bringing it onto the computer.
01
Personal Impact Poster
I selected the evolution and impact of music, representing the legends of music. I chose this because music is everywhere you look, it’s something that the world has in common, it’s in different cultures, in your home, and depending on the way you look at it, it could even be in nature, the way people talk, or even a city. This represents me because of my love for music and how it has dramatically changed my life, and shaped me into who I am and who I will be in the future.

Final Design

From the sketch to the final design there were significant changes. At first I wanted an up close face image of all artists that have grown my music taste. This initial idea did not end up working, however I shifted gears and decided to design a magazine cover.
02
Landscape wallpaper
My objective is to create a design that uses unique tools to make it look like a watercolor painting or keep it as realistic as possible. I know I have it when my design looks different from others and it seems to look like it has texture. Also, when I have used new and advanced skills and tools, like different versions of the paintbrush tool, or other tools that will help me achieve the style I am looking for (not sure the exact names yet).

Final Design

I somewhat reached my objective because I didn't use new tools to make my design look like a watercolor/painting design, but to some degree I used unique tools to create the right perspective I wanted. For example, I played around with the Perspective Grid tool, which was complicated. I thought looking at tutorials would take up too much of my designing time, so I decided to become advanced/very familiar with the Direct Selection tool, creating an abstract perspective. Next project I could reach my objective by spending time outside of class (self-assigned homework) researching and finding tutorials that explore unique tools.
